About me ...  Completing this page feels a little bit like an interview,  though of course you need to know about me - so if what you need to know isn’t here, feel free to contact me via email or telephone...

I am  a qualified accredited  practitioner, listed in the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (find me in the BACP Directory)  providing confidential counselling and psychotherapy.

My initial Counsellor training was at Riverside College Halton, here I studied for a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, Integrative Counselling is a term used to define the application of two or more theoretical approaches to therapy into a coherent framework underpinning your practice.

Whilst training I worked in placement in a variety of settings and worked with issues such as abuse, addictions,  anxiety and depression  and undertook specialist training to work with traumatic effects of sexual violence, working therapeutically in groups and working with parents.

My background  is in training and development,  so in addition to working therapeutically with clients on a one-one basis I also teach Counselling,  and work within FE  Colleges delivering tuition on Health & Social Care Qualifications.

 Additional Training

Psychopharmacology in Counselling and Psychotherapy

Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Domestic Violence

Anxiety Disorders

Self Harm

Suicide

Post Graduate I have continued to study with  Salford University  where I have trained in  the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in varying contexts  and completed  MSc Level  qualifications in Brief Therapy  , Trauma  and Working with Children and Young People.
