How Can I help You?

wp39226fd2.png

The service I provide is safe, confidential, discrete and allows you the opportunity to take time out to explore your thoughts, focus on what’s happening and seek out new direction.

Therapy is a two-way process in which I put your needs and what you want to achieve as central.  To do this I will keep your best interests in focus, listen to and value what you tell me.  Sometimes I may engage you in a collaborative exploration of fears, self-defeating or negative thoughts and how this impacts on your day to day living.

I have considerable experience, professional training and interest  in working with traumatic and intrusive memories, including childhood abuse and sexual violence, anxiety, depression and the impact  this has on daily functioning in relationships, work and feeling and living well.

For some it is feelings  of anxiety and  depression. For others a  lack of meaning in self or the world.  Often it is due to feeling  trapped or being in isolation. Maybe it's  a  sense of being abandoned or banished, with hopeless feelings about the future, or feelings of despair.

Sometimes events from the past interfere emotionally with your day to day living, for instance  hurt, anger, shame and guilt can leave us filled with feelings of  fear, falseness, worthlessness and a lack of direction .

Many people find it a difficult and uncomfortable task talking through issues with those who are close to them for fear of causing hurt,  being judged, criticised or ridiculed.

Counselling and psychotherapy offers you the space and time to explore any issue in a safe environment without judgement or expectation.

Living free from  overwhelming feelings and associated behaviours has the potential to transform your life and           daily living experiences............
